THIRD TIME'S A CHARM

We are looking forward to trying a third (and hopefully final) time to celebrate our marriage in June 2022. We would also like to share with everyone that during lockdown we got married just the two of us on a private sandbank in Zanzibar. While it was incredibly special, we still value the wedding and celebrating the special day with our closest family and friends. We hope you all can safely attend our wedding in June.

Celebrate with us

Please note a formal invitation will follow.  We would love for you to share our special day with us, so please make sure you book flights, accommodation, and any activities you plan to enjoy in advance (check cancellation policies too!). Additional details on our venue, accommodation, transportation, and activities in the Cape Town area can be found throughout our site.

our story

Suzy and Philip met in London at a work meeting. Philip found Suzy (a bit too) foreign while Suzy was intrigued with Phil and found him exotic. However, both quickly found they loved London pubs where Suzy impressed Phil with her pints (and hair) and they became fast friends. As the friendship developed over the months, they found a home away from home in each other. Phil introduced Suzy to all things South African, starting with a Braai in south London, and she started to fall in love with the place (and the person). Suzy introduced Phil to all things Texas (they also BBQ) where he realized they weren't so different and maybe she could be the one. Eventually the two started dating, and shortly after Phil got a job offer in Kenya that he couldn't pass up. Suzy always dreamed of traveling and living around the world, so they decided to give long distance a shot (8,650 miles and 10 hours difference distant...). Suzy moved back to the US for a year and the two made the most of trips to the mountains together, where Phil proposed (with Suzy's dog as his witness). Shortly after, Suzy moved to Kenya where they finished their long-distance relationship and began their life-long relationship finally together. Now they will make it official with their closest friends and family from across the world. After moving their wedding date twice due to trickly logistics issue from Covid, they decided to get married in Zanzibar. Now they live and work in Amsterdam with their new dog Henry (AKA: Hendri) waiting to share their marriage with their friends and family in June 2022.
